Mistake 1: You do not send enough messages.
Ok I get it, you’re a busy person… heck, that may even be the reason you got into online dating to begin with! but that’s not excuse for laziness. Online dating really is a numbers game, the more women you contact, the better your chances are. Most guys make the mistake of focusing their attentions on one or two women that they see online, when they do not receive a response from their various messages they get disheartened and give it up on online dating altogether.
The more women that you contact the better your chances will be.
You have to be willing to invest some time in this aspect of your life, be prepared to send out at least at least 200 different messages to 200 different girls before can expect to receive some really great responses.
if this seems like a lot , ask yourself whether you really want to get a girl or not?
Mistake 2: Your online dating profile sucks.
The quickest way to see if your dating profile sucks is to send it to 1 close female friend to critique. ask her for specifics, if she’s nice she may even help you rewrite it. if you would prefer to do it yourself, then i would suggest you adhere to the following basic rules
1. At the very least, aim to come across as the fun loving, sociable guy. nothing too serious.
2. Write what you are passionate about, and be specific in what you are looking for.
3. Don’t bitch, moan, complain at all. in fact, avoid anything that may seem negative.
4. Emphasis your best qualities without boasting.
5. Be selectively honest. everybody lies, so there’s no need to be ashamed.
Mistake 3: you are on the wrong site.
Are you looking for friendship, sex or both? If you’re not seeing the result you require, you may be investing your efforts in a site not best suited to your needs. Each dating site has its own specific crowd, and there is an unwritten code of conduct amidst the members on what kind of site this is and what behavior is expected/tolerated.
Sending overtly sexual messages may work well on adultfriendfinder, but it will get you banned on match.com. You must make sure that whichever site you choose, is congruent with what you want to achieve.
Mistake 4: You are insane

When you send the same message to 10 women, and get no response, do you keep sending the same message? or, do you scrap it and try something new? If the answer is the former, then you probably are repeating a lot of the same mistakes in your dating life and hence aren’t, getting the results you want.
To get the girl of your dreams you have to be willing to experiment, to play, to live and to learn
shake it up a little, let go of your bad habits and try something new.
Treat online dating as a game, then set out to try different tactics until you win.
Mistake 5: you shotgun
Picture this scenario:
1. You spend ages writing what you believe is a great ‘first message’
2. You send this message to tens of women
3. You wait
4. You get no response
Why? you used the shotgun approach.
Women are fantastic at picking up bullshit; they can read your message and know instantly whether you have sent this to 100 other women, or whether it has been tailored to her. Any hint that his is a ‘stock’ message, and you will never receive a response.
We all want someone who is willing to put in the time to make us feel special, and if you can’t be bothered to write her a unique email, then what does that say about how you will act in a relationship?
Each message must be as unique as the women you are contacting, so put in a little effort and you will see some results.
Mistake 6: your messages suck
If you aren’t able to express yourself in an entertaining, passionate and interesting way through written word, then you will struggle at online dating. some of the most interesting guys i know fail at online dating because they simply cant write in a manner that is both emotive, expressive and interesting.
So go take a writing class, learn proper grammar, do whatever you need to do to become somebody who is able to write well. it really does make all the difference in the world.
